The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child have their first dental visit by their first birthday. By the time they turn one, they will have some of their baby teeth, and this is an important time to take the opportunity to discuss effective home care with parents. We also use this essential appointment to help your child grow accustomed to dental visits. We want them to have a positive experience while they are with us, and by starting early, we can make their dental care a fun part of their health routine.
Dr. Karina will also perform a dental exam to check your child’s oral health. Your child may sit on your lap for this exam so that you can provide them comfort and familiarity. Everything in the dental office will be new to your little one!
We will save time to answer all your questions so that you can feel confident in your role in your child’s oral health. We understand that you may have some questions, and we look forward to answering them for you.
Finally, we will discuss what to expect as your child grows and develops so that you know what to expect and how to care to provide the best care for them at home.
